On Saturday 6th Feb, come visit our pop-up lounge out in the street for #Streetside2016. More details in our event listing.
Hey everybody! We have decided to close today Tuesday the 26th of January. Unfortunately one of our Fringe shows was cancelled due to illness and it made more sense for us to give our staff a day off. We’ll be open again from 11am Wednesday the 27th of January. Sorry for any inconvenience caused! xo
We recently went to visit the inner-city farm of our micro herb supplier, Green World Revolution. These guys are secretly tucked away in Gladstone St Perth. We had trouble parking because there was a crane blocking the one-way street and a mobile coffee van parked in the laneway behind the brothel. We finally reached the gate signed ‘Gladstone Street Farm’ and entered this urban oasis. The proprietor, Toby, is a friggin’ awesome individual who runs this “not-for-profit, environmental social enterprise.” He’s about 7ft tall and the brains behind this micro-herb, sprout & micro-vegetable farm, servicing some of Perth’s best restaurants and creating jobs for the long term unemployed. From the solar-powered irrigation system to the packaging crate shingles on the sheds, Green World Evolution is recycling, growing and innovating.
We already use their herbs in our weekend brunch menu, but we’re playing with ways to feature them in our new summer food menu out in January.

We’ll keep you posted.
2014 saw The Moon implement our first ever brunch menu on the weekends! We hope you’ve had a chance to try it. We’ve made a few new additions for winter such as our delicious Bacon & Green Capsicum Potato Hash, warming Spiced Coconut Quinoa Porridge, Feta & Zucchini Fritters or a simple Vegemite & Cheese Toastie mmmmmmm
Available every Saturday & Sunday from 10am-4pm! Click HERE to see the menu!

We’ve spruced up our menu for winter! You’ll find quite a few new smaller or share items, warm vegies and some heartier larger meals like our homely Creamy Wine & Tarragon Chicken with roasted potato mash.
We’ve also returned a few super-requested items like the Stinky Pig Pizza and our Blue Pumpkin & Thyme (BPT) Spaghetti, but don’t worry you die hard fans, our pizza pasta menu hasn’t changed too drastically! And please note that The Spinster Pizza, Marco Penne & Simple Penne are available by request 😉
Thanks to Perth International Jazz Festival for a great weekend. We had the awesome 6 piece version of the Mitch Boag group and talented Tedde from ECU playing jazz with soul, country, hip hop and rock elements.
You can catch our free jazz in the courtyard on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month (and the 5th Thursday if there is one) with The Fix who’ve been our resident jazz band since 2004 and change with guests every time.
Thanks to everyone who made Fringe World so amazing this year! There were record attendances and Perth/Northbridge was brimming with life. We really enjoyed being a Fringe venue for the first time! We survived 24 hours of non-stop comedy madness with the 24 hour Big Hoo-Haa and we can tell you first hand that the 6am sun was brutal but what a night it was! We also hosted British comedian Matt Price on his first trip to Australia and we exhibited the colourful works of the lovely Kerry Brooks.
We also experienced our busiest day and night of trade in 11 years on Valentine’s Day while The Giants wandered the streets of Northbridge. What a huge month!
