with Bass Lemon

8-10pm, Sunday 30 September

Grace Sanders is a 21 year old upcoming jazz/soul singer from Western Australia. Influenced by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Mamas and the Papas, Donny Hathaway and many more, her unique sound and songwriting abilities combine classic soul and jazz elements with honest lyricism, grabbing melodies and an original twist that have begun to gain traction on the Australian music scene.

Bass Lemon are a young dynamic jazz/funk fusion group who electrify audiences with a powerful mixture of popular classics and catchy originals. Doug, Finn, Fred and Leo have been playing together since 2010, and across the years they morphed, changed genres, in 2014 being joined by vocalist Ellen-Mai and becoming Bass Lemon. Their eclectic mix of repertoire appeals to a diverse audience, from younger groups who enjoy upbeat rearrangements of contemporary songs, and to any crowd who like to get down to some honest funk, to people who simply want to listen and appreciate true musical talent. They were selected to play at 2018 Fairbridge Festival and have appeared around the Perth area doing various private functions and gigs at venues such as Mojo’s Bar and Clancy’s in Fremantle.
