Joan And The Giants take the stage at The Moon with Jeremy Segue. Joan & The Giants are an indie alt-pop band from Perth, Western Australia. Formed in 2019 by front woman Grace Newton-Wordsworth and guitarist Aaron Birch. Joan & The Giants blend musical elements from pop, folk, stadium rock & blues. March 4th 2019, marked the release of Joan & The Giants debut single ‘Hold Me’. The band are hitting the road for their first headline WA regional tour, throughout March, April and May.

Their influences include Florence & The Machine, Daughter, Angus & Julia Stone, Amy Shark, Kings Of Leon and Alabama Shakes. Jeremy Segue is the not-so-cryptic alias of Perth songwriter and producer Jeremy Segal. Taking his cues from the great theoriticans of alternative pop – Bowie, Bjork, Brian Eno et al – Segue produces forward thinking music that is well aware of its past, combining processed vocals and soft synth textures with modulated guitar hooks and timeless melodies. Gently carried through contemplative lyricism and thoughtful arrangements, this unique brand of eclectic alt-pop is cerebral, catchy, and emotive. Jeremy has been performing with his band Segue (fka Segue Safari) for just over four years now, and in that time they’ve shared stages with the likes of Cate le Bon, Methyl Ethel, and Deep Sea Arcade. Last November they released their debut full length album Primary Ties – a self-produced 9 track exploration. Jeremy’s solo sets are few and far between, and those upcoming will feature songs from Primary Ties as well as new material.

Music starts at 8pm and entry is always free!
